Received my voucher yesterday to take my FCNSA exam, the Fortinet Certified Network Security Associate. Too bad I still have to learn how to use the damned things huh? I’d also like to see a real sample of the exam, because I’m not sure what ballpark it’s in. A lot of people act like braindumps are cheating, blah blah blah, but for odd-ball and lesser known exams like this one, they’re nice to see how hard you have to study, and how the exam “thinks”. Just 1-3 questions would make me feel sooo much better. I did see one “exam”, but the answered listed in it were wrong, I forget exactly what it said, but the given answer said it “had to be C because you can’t do B”, never mind the fact that just a few HOURS before I was doing B.
And for the record, yes, I did think of doing a Bea Arthur joke, but decided aginst it. You’re all welcome. I also thought about making a joke about the “odd balls” above, but I think I’ll just save my ball jokes for later use.
Did you every take the Fortigate FCNSA exam? How did it compare to the braindumps? Were they pretty similar?

Yea, I did. Had my ass handed to me too. The actualtests sheets, no one I’ve seen on forums have recieved above a 56% on. The questions are dead on, but the answers are wrong. I ended up failing by 1 question, that threw off my entire game; I had my CCNP:Security I needed to get ready for, and after that crushing defeat, I wasn’t able to take any of the exams until my IPS exam, the simplest of the group.
Some of the fortigate questions, I have to wonder if there is a right answer. The DHCP question on it comes to mind, because two of the answers work on a real fortigate, so not sure what they want me to say.
